Internal Communications Specialist
Our client, a leading global organisation, is seeking a creative and self-motivated Internal Communications Specialist to execute their internal communications strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the storytelling of the organisation and bring their human-centric culture to life.
Working closely with the Head of Change, you will play a pivotal role in informing, exciting, and engaging colleagues across the organisation.
Please note this role is being offered on a 6-month contract basis initially – may extend for the right candidate, based on site in Dublin city centre office 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the internal communications strategy using the latest communications technologies and social channels.
- Manage and coordinate a busy schedule of campaigns and communications across the business, offering support and advice where needed.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand business priorities and shape the communications approach.
- Develop and manage high-quality, engaging content for internal platforms, including a weekly newsletter, intranet updates, quarterly briefings, colleague videos, and leadership communications.
- Partner with teams across the organisation to execute communication initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Lead video content development from initial storyboard to final sign-off.
- Collaborate with the creative team to produce impactful campaign assets.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in a communications role, ideally in internal communications for a medium or large organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing and proofreading skills with a proven ability to tailor content for diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Experience creating compelling content and campaigns across various channels (e.g., town halls, newsletters, video messages).
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure.
- A natural storyteller with excellent influencing and engagement skills who can build credibility and trust.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and other digital/design/communications tools. Experience with Poppulo is highly desirable but not essential.
