PR and Media Officer
Job description
Our client, a leading not-for-profit, is offering an exciting permanent role for a PR Officer.
Joining a collaborative team of six, the ideal candidate will bring expertise in crafting and pitching media content, fostering strong relationships with national and regional media outlets, and enhancing campaigns with impactful storytelling across both digital and traditional platforms.
This position is ideal for an experienced PR or Media professional ready to take the next step in their career and make a difference in the not-for-profit sector.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute media strategies to support fundraising, advocacy, and humanitarian initiatives.
- Build and nurture relationships with media contacts to ensure impactful coverage across various channels.
- Write press releases, media pitches, and stories that capture the mission and goals of the organisation.
- Coordinate and support media events and outreach efforts.
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reporting on campaign performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align media efforts with broader campaign goals and organisational messaging.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in PR, media relations, or journalism, ideally with a focus on nonprofit or social impact sectors.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Track record in building and maintaining media relationships and securing coverage.
- Familiarity with digital and traditional media platforms.
