Alternatives are partnering with Flahavans on this exciting Senior International Brand Manager role.
Since 1785, Flahavan’s have been milling oats in Kilmacthomas, making them the oldest continuing family business in Ireland. Each generation has left its mark and over the past twenty years the company has made inroads across the globe, exporting to over twenty countries. A range of branded products has been tailored to the USA, South Korea and the UK markets. Proudly the No 1 oats brand in Ireland and the UK (in the organic segment), the product range today covers hot oats, cold cereals, bakery products (flapjacks, granola) and oat drinks.

 The Senior International Brand Manager (SIBM) is responsible for leading the strategic development, execution, and performance of the brand across international markets. This role manages a high-performing team and partners cross-functionally and cross-regionally to drive brand equity, market share, and revenue growth, while ensuring global consistency and local relevancy.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Leadership
  • Define and execute the global brand strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and local market needs.
  • Champion the brand vision and identity across all touchpoints and geographies.
  • Act as brand guardian—ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity.

People Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of assistant brand managers and/or junior marketing team members.
  • Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of feedback and growth.
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining strategic oversight and accountability.

Market & Consumer Insights
  • Lead analysis of global market trends, consumer behaviour, competitive landscape, and performance data.
  • Translate insights into actionable plans and innovations tailored to regional nuances.

Marketing & Communications
  • Develop and oversee global brand campaigns, media strategy, and content creation across traditional and digital channels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external creative agencies on campaign development and rollout.
  • Ensure timely deployment of global toolkits and ensure timely delivery to local markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with sales, commercial, digital, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on brand plans.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for local marketing teams, providing guidance and support.

Product & Innovation Management
  • Partner with R&D and product development to influence innovation pipeline and positioning based on international needs.
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new product launches, working closely with commercial, supply chain, and sales.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with regional marketing leads, commercial heads, and global leadership to align on strategy and execution.
  • Present brand performance, strategies, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Performance Management
  • Own global brand dashboards—monitor brand equity, sales performance, market share, and campaign ROI.
  • Continuously refine strategy based on data, feedback, and business outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience
Required:
  • 6+ years in brand marketing, with at least 3+ years in international or global brand leadership.
  • Background in CPG or FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience managing direct reports and developing high-performing teams.
  • Track record of building and scaling brands across multiple international markets.
  • Strong background in both strategic brand building and tactical execution.
  • Experience with global product launches and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong understanding of brand equity, positioning, and consumer behaviour.
  • Analytical thinker with commercial acumen and a data-driven mindset.

Desirable:
  • Multilingual or experience working in culturally diverse environments.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
